Omišalj, July 21, 2026 – Gordan Jandroković, Speaker of the Croatian Parliament and Dragan Čović, Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited the LNG terminal on the island of Krk today, as part of a working visit by leaders of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian parliament.
Ivan Fugaš, Director of LNG Croatia, presented the guests with an overview of the terminal’s operations and capacity. With an annual maximum capacity of 6.1 bcm of natural gas, the terminal significantly exceeds domestic demand, enabling reliable supply to neighboring countries as well.
Special attention was given to the Southern Gas Interconnection project, which would give Bosnia and Herzegovina access to a new, secure gas supply route via Croatia and the LNG terminal on Krk contributing to the diversification of supply routes and strengthening the region’s energy security.
The LNG terminal continues to affirm its role as a key energy link for Southeast Europe.
