LNG Hrvatska

Omišalj, September 05., 2024. year – On the occasion of the arrival of the 100th LNG carrier named BW Pavilion Aranthera, LNG Hrvatska LLC issues a statement:

And that moment has come.

Some say it was much faster than we all thought, especially four years ago.

The 100th LNG carrier has just berthed at the LNG Terminal. It is the 100th vessel after less than four years of operation, the 100th vessel after all those big experts and their forecasts about the way the Terminal works and operates.

If we look at what we have done in these less than four years:

  • Discharged 100 LNG carriers
  • Discharged almost 400 trucks for LNG transport
  • Regasified over 13.7 million cubic meters of LNG and transported almost 8.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas

We have also provided various consulting services and assisted in constructing and operating other European LNG terminals. We regularly support the work of the local community and the entire Rijeka port and land area, and our experts regularly actively participate in developing a safer, more reliable, and environmentally friendly LNG industry.

Let’s not forget about the project to increase the capacity of the LNG Terminal, which will increase the security of natural gas supply for the Republic of Croatia and all countries in the surrounding area.

We must undoubtedly thank the Government of the Republic of Croatia, headed by Mr. Plenković, and all the Ministries, without whose decisions none of this would have been possible.

Special thanks must go to all the employees of LNG Croatia, past and present…they have led to all these extraordinary results, and they will continue to do everything to make our LNG Terminal the most critical energy point in this part of Europe and to continue to maintain a safe and reliable supply of natural gas for the Republic of Croatia.

We should also thank all the critics; they force us to prove the opposite of what they say regularly and raise the standards of LNG Terminal operations.

What does the future bring?

We are launching projects to capture carbon dioxide emissions, use the sun’s energy, build stations for the supply of LNG, hydrogen, and other environmentally acceptable energy sources, and participate in the transition or conversion of as many vessels sailing the Adriatic Sea to more environmentally friendly fuel as possible.

But let’s go step by step.

The 101st vessel and 401st truck are ahead of us…
