Omišalj, 18th of September 2023. – Since the beginning of the commercial operation of the UPP Terminal, more than 9,700,000 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas have been gasified, and more than 6 billion cubic meters of natural gas have been shipped to the transport system of the Republic of Croatia. In the current gas year, 30 UPP transport ships have already been transshipped, and in the next two days, the last cargo intended for the UPP Terminal is expected to be transshipped in this gas year. In the same period, more than 2.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas were shipped to the Republic of Croatia’s transport system, representing more than 71% of all quantities of natural gas entering the transport system of the Republic of Croatia. All of the above confirms the importance of the Terminal for the natural gas market in the Republic of Croatia and this part of Europe.
