Omišalj, 17th December 2022 – During the early morning, the 50. jubilee LNG carrier had berthed at the LNG Terminal and it was successfully moored in the Special Purpose Port of the LNG Terminal. The 50. LNG carrier „Kmarin Diamond“ arrived from the United States of America. In accordance with the prescribed procedures, testing procedures and safety checks are ongoing and the discharge operation will begin in the afternoon. The LNG carrier „Kmarin Diamond“ will leave the Terminal and Special Purpose Port area in the early evening hours of December 19th, 2022.
The jubilee 50. STS cargo transfer operation in almost two years of commercial operation of the LNG Terminal is an indicator of its usability, as well as high safety requirements when performing all operations within the port’s operational area.
Since the beginning of its commercial operation, the LNG Terminal has accepted more than 6.6 million m3 of LNG, continuing to confirm its importance on the energy map of Europe.
