The production of the regasification module will take 22 months, and its installation on the FSRU vessel LNG Croatia will be carried out during the summer of 2025, which will ultimately enable a double increase in the total capacity of the Terminal. The realization of this investment is following the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia on 18th August, 2022, to increase the security of gas supply by building the Zlobin – Bosiljevo gas pipeline and expanding the capacity of the LNG Terminal to 6.1 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The signing of the contract was attended by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Davor Filipović, who pointed out that by expanding the capacity of the LNG Terminal, the gas pipeline network is being strengthened, and Croatia is moving in the direction of becoming the energy hub of this part of Europe. After installing the module on the FSRU vessel LNG Croatia and the construction of the gas pipeline Zlobin – Bosiljevo, additional capacities will be available and offered to the market from 1st October, 2025, from the beginning of the gas year 2025/2026.
