Update information on 16.06.2017 – Regarding the development of the Open Season procedure LNG Croatia is planning to start a Market consultation as the first step of the Open Season Binding Phase procedure. It is envisaged that the Open Season Binding Phase will be performed in three stages:       1st stage: Market consultation;       2nd stage: Preliminary Open Season;       3rd stage: Final Open Season. The Client hereby invites all interested economic subjects to submit the Bids in a procurement process for the services of preparation of design and permit documentation for construction of LNG bunkering station for filling of LNG powered vessels, LNG feeder vessels and truck trailers, containers and road vehicles in the Rijeka Port basin and consulting services for obtaining of the required permits and approvals. Within preparation of project and permitting documentation for the construction of the floating LNG terminal Krk and consulting services related to obtaining necessary permits and approvals, which is co-financed 50% by EU, on 28th of March 2017 the service agreement has been signed and during the kick-off meeting following activities have been initiated: Preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment for the FSRU and obtaining the decision of the Ministry   FEED preparation for the floating LNG terminal Preparation of the Conceptual Design for the floating LNG terminal and the connecting gas pipeline

EU approved grants for studies and works

LNG Croatia LLC has applied, on 8th of November 2016, on CEF-Energy-2016-2 programme through which co-financing for studies and works for implementation of a floating LNG terminal solution has been requested. The CEF Coordination Committee gave, on 17th of February 2017, a positive opinion on future co-financing of the project. € 747.000,00 has been approved for co-financing of studies (50% of total cost), and € 101.400.000,00 (27,92 % of total cost) for works, which amounts to a total of € 102.147.000,00.

Company LNG Croatia LLC, as a project promoter of LNG terminal on the Island of Krk project, based on regulation (EU) No 347/2013 of European parliament and of the Council, Article 9, item 4, invites all relevant parties on public consultation related to the development of LNG terminal Krk project. Conclusion of Government of Republic of Croatia on speeding up the procedure of constructing the LNG terminal

The Government of Republic of Croatia has, at its 27th session on 8th of June 2016, adopted the conclusion on speeding-up of activities on realisation of construction of LNG terminal on the Island of Krk. LNG Croatia LLC has been appointed as the project developer and currently is the promoter at the European Union. Speeding-up of the preparation procedure means faster obtainment of necessary documents and permits by state institutions and bodies, which is also defined in the Act on strategic investments. LNG Croatia LLC has conducted investigation works according to the requirements of HRN EN 1473:2008 and the special conditions of public bodies on the area of LNG terminal Krk and investigation works for outer installations of LNG terminal Krk. On 31st December 2015 at 12:00am the company LNG Croatia LLC has concluded a public call for investment in LNG Croatia LLC. Industrial investors were to submit their offers by 30th November 2015, and financial investors by 31st December 2015. Location Permit

Location Permit

LNG Croatia LLC has on 10th of September 2015 received a valid location permit for the project "Receiving terminal for liquefied natural gas on the Island of Krk" in the municipality Omišalj, Primorsko-goranska County. Location permit is an administrative act that is issued on account of the Physical Planning Act in accordance with physical planning and special regulations documents. Location permit represents the key document in the project development and it serves as a basis for the main design.

LNG Croatia LLC has applied for CEF transport 2014 (GAINN4MOS). This part of GAINN4MOS Action concerns the engineering study of the future LNG pilot bunkering station in Rijeka (Croatia) required to comply with Directive 2014/94/EU on the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure, financed by the Cohesion Fund. The LNG terminal project in Croatia is included in European Energy Security Strategy, EC, 28th of May, 2014 COM(2014) 330  This strategy represents a hard-headed strategy for energy security which promotes resilience to energy supply shocks and disruptions to energy supplies in the short term and reduced dependency on particular fuels, energy suppliers and routes in the long-term. The project was included in the European Energy Security Strategy list as one of the most important parts, particularly in scope of security of supply and diversification of supply routes for the Region.
